Moore & Spence Architects, P.A., is a Florida based firm that was founded in 1997 by David S. Moore and John R. Spence. What started as a let’s have lunch and talk, has turned into a successful partnership that has exceeded 27 years in the Southwest Florida area and beyond.

David and John are both proud graduates of the University of Florida, where they both earned their Masters Degrees in Architecture. Little did they know when their path crossed during a Material and Methods class where John was an undergraduate and David was the Teaching Assistant for the class, that some 10 plus years later they would reconnect and begin their partnership.

Drawing from their combined experiences, working with two of the prominent architectural firms in Fort Myers, they developed their philosophy and approach for their new firm. They took what they felt were the best part of their individual experiences to create a system and process where they could develop quality architecture and provide an exceptional design experience for their clients. The primary concept which directed their decision process was the mutual commitment to delivering an experience and final product the met the specific needs of their clients.

The list of projects and clients since the firm was founded is extensive. The project types include among others, retail, commercial, restaurants, medical, dental, residential, governmental, entertainment, and religious. The client base has included public, private, corporate, and governmental.

The firm’s commitment to delivering to their clients the designs and services that are most appropriate to meet that client’s specific needs remains the central focus to each project. This approach has made for a successful partnership and will continue to ensure success in the future.
